Had my own approaches regarding how I draw different postures and I never wrote em down until now

Note that in body shape "D" animals with feet that long have to either 'flop' them around or hop. Otherwise normal walking would raise their body a lot for each step, and they would have to fall on their heels a lot for each step adding stress to the joints.

That's the 'logic' explanation for it though. Cartoons can be beyond logic. You can be beyond logic if you feel like it too. I know some people will just find the technical explanation interesting.
