was wondering why he did quit after promoting his game. People in this topic made it clear for me to understand more each day. It's amazing honestly, will sit and do a block fiesta after Ep 6 drops for sure.

I don’t really know where to start with this. I’d have liked the ability to save both but that wasn’t the story he was writing. It’s the balance you see time and again with multiple choice/ path games. You have to have A fixed path down the middle, the story, for example in Mass Effect you are always going planet to planet fighting the the enemy, which ultimately is to fight the reapers. You make choices and these have some impact on things that happen later, but in the end you are going to be on the Citadel making the (non) choice at the end.
It‘s a College comedy/ melodrama/ porn game. Of course the main character is fucking. I’m not really sure what the rest of your complaint is? You seem to be saying you have to fuck lots of people or not enough people. What do you want? There is no clear indication about the CHICK or DIK path and the end, we haven’t hit the half way point yet. I’d imagine we’ll have 2 to 3 core endings. DIK, CHICK and maybe neutral. The core ending will then have small variations depending on other choices.
The Bella mystery is great. Does the game benefit from reflective narration? Hard to say, we’ll know when we get to the end, or the point where we catch up in time with the MC. I’m not anticipating her having a BDSM set up, I think it will be something more traumatic. That’s Bella’s story. I for one would rather see the story he intended from day one than see him change it because the fans think they know what’s best, before they even know what’s going to happen.
Disagree about character investment. His art is top tier. But by the mediums standards his is one of the best writers. Each of the characters feel as though they have a personality which for a cast this size isn’t easy. Is the writing as good as a New York Times best seller? Probably not. Are there many/ any truly making the same kind of content, but better. Not in my opinion.
Not sure what the complaint is about Quinn? You like the way the character is set up but don’t think he can pull off her story? Based on the set up, writing to date, and that he has planned everything out, I’m fairly confident her can.
There will be happy endings. Perhaps not riding off into the sunset, marriage on a beach, 3 kids and a harem in a palatial mansion happy. But nice sweet character appropriate happy endings, there will also probably be bad endings. Perhaps Bella get’s but in an Asylum or Jill marries Tybalt (fairly sure this will happen on some paths). On others Jill might end up with Rusty while Maya and Josy break up. Or Sage marries Chad and is miserable living as his beard. While it is a comedy, it’s also a melodrama.
Good and bad things will happen some we’ll like some we won’t. He probably won’t make a ‘perfect’ ending. Similar to how Acting Lessons ended. Yes there was a tragedy but the other characters could move on a succeed and be happy. The fact is BaDIK has a long way to go. If you aren’t enjoying it now, I’d suggest abandoning ship. No point making yourself miserable for the next 3-5 years and 6-12 episodes.

I don't especially like this game, I've said that several times now. But I understand where the Dev's going with this storytelling approach and what you consider a flaw is not one of the several flaws I see in BaDIK

I think the point gets missed a lot. I support and am a fan of the game. I also am a critic. The two are not mutually exclusive. His story choices and mandatory progression, such as the M&J drama and missing out on Cathy and or Jade is simply one example. A better writer would not make such a mistake and it is a mistake. I personally think there are a lot of examples of better writers on here, but damn few that can match DPC on renders.
I think you raise interesting points. As long as our choices actually make a difference and we are not faced with the unwinnable situation we had in Acting Lessons, I will be happier with his scope of writing talent. He wrote a tragic drama before. This is a comedy. As long as it stays light hearted and the drama is college type drama, I would be extremely happy.
At no point do I attempt to tell DPC, who doesn't read this anyhow, how to write his story. I make a point of saying it is his story to tell. I do make a point also of saying which plot devices he has used in the past and seems to be leaning towards reusing, and how those will similarly have a negative impact on his fan base.
This is a very popular game. There are passionate people who feel it is unfair perhaps or offensive to be critical of DPC. That is unfortunate, as popularity doesn't give it a free pass from critical comments. We all speculate on here, well except for the drones who keep asking for an update release date, they are just too lazy to scroll back a page or three. My speculations, and even rants are dealing with plot devices... My praise is for his renders and of course for the writing of the wingman. He does do that very well.
This game doesn't make me miserable at all. It has some of my favorite renders in it. It is not my favorite by a longshot though.
Anyhow, my mood is lightened by intelligent discourse and I thank you for that.

I am betting Jill is Lynette's younger sister, and you are going to have to make a choice. For me, as long as Bella is number one, and Jill is the extra, I am good with it. Again, certain "know it alls" think this is impossible. I do not share their outlook. Jill is my aunt and I gladly give her my seed, after Bella lets me of course, and with Bella licking it clean and demanding all the live seed for her, and Jade, and Cathy... Jill can be their cunt licker.... and I am totally 100% good with that.
I actually hope this is true, more for Holy Bacchus's benefit than any story benefit!
This is why it would be good if there was a separate "FAQ/Walkthrough" thread for this game like the one that Summertime Saga has in order to filter out the people who will be flooding this thread in the first week of release with those questions, as well as, "how do I unlock X scene?", "where do I find X render?", "android??????", etc.
He's adding a gui element that shows the different areas to quickly jump to them, like in Bella's house there will presumably be icons for the kitchen, living room, bathroom, pool, etc, so there won't be a need to click on several different arrows to get from the upstairs den to the pool area.
It's not that it's offensive to be critical, it's just that it becomes an annoyance to see the same over-the-top, bombastic cries of "shitty writing", "shitty writer", all the time. All these games are created by amateurs, both in terms of writing and game development, and while some do it better than others and get better over time, none of them are going to be winning any Nobel Prizes for literature any time soon, so it seems pointless to be criticising the writing of what is, at the end of the day, a porn game where the main purpose is always to get point D into point V as expeditiously as possible.
I honestly don't see why it's worth this much energy to be labouring this point about the writing so vociferously, when it could just simply be summed up as, "well, that was a little bit inconsistent/nonsensical, but it's a porn game, so, whatevs".
