Maybe but this isn't the same thing by any means.
first: There's a significant chance that women will flock to Gladiator ll in big numbers, in some countries even surpass men. Most of the cast is, unbelievably ...disliked by str8 men (exception being Denzel) and coversely "fan favorite babygirls" for women.
Second: I know I will ruin Theater kids and Ariana/Cynthia fans fantasy but Wicked most likely will be a children & Gay thing. I don't think it will flop but I doubt general adult str8 audiences will give any attention to it, unlike Barbie did.
