yes, it happened multiple times during my days in service at McDonald's (2012-2018), since they played the usual heavy rotation mainstream italian stuff plus modern singers and i didn't like most of them at all, sometimes even twice every half hour... but here and there, some surprises from the past appeared.

and there are just the first seven i can think of. Yesterday i went for dinner with a friend at Old Wild West (european food chain restaurants mostly based in italy) and while i expect to be forced to listen to mostly the same modern things, i happily recognized Blur - Country House, Bon Jovi - I'll Be There For You (i think), Robbie Williams - Millennium... and something more, something the friend i went with also happily noticed.

i forgot... midway through last december, i returned to a McDonald's to greet former managers and coworkers i need of confort while mourning my passing cat, and in just 15 minutes the radio played two wonderful songs i couldn't expect at all... Cloud 9 from Jamiroquai (2017) and My Friend from Groove Armada (between 2001 and 2002).
